WORLD SUDOKU CHAMPIONSHIP

• Jan Tylova, an economist from Czech Republic, won the 1st World Sudoku Championship held at Lucca on the 11 March 2006. He emerged as champion from a strong field of 85 participants representing 22 countries http://www.wsc2006.com
• Thomas Snyder, a chemistry graduate of Harvard, beat 141 competitors from 32 countries to become the 2nd World Sudoku Champion. The tournament was held in Prague, Czech Republic from 28 March - 1 April 2007 http://www.sudoku07.com
